Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future - released in 2000 Ecco is one famous bottle-nosed dolphin, though I never grew fond of the series until this title. Granted, I did play the Sega Genesis iteration, but I believe Ecco is more suited for a third-dimensional game. Never has exploring the ocean’s depths been more fun, mysterious and mystical. The game has many themes of happiness, sadness and loneliness with beautiful melodies and nice visuals. This title first appeared on the Dreamcast, but was later ported to the PlayStation 2. If you like adventure games, you should definitely give Ecco a shot if you haven’t done so already.

Wave Race 64 - released in 1996 Easily the best Wave Race of the three installments, Wave Race 64 featured some of the best water mechanics of the 90’s with fantastic multiplayer. This was also one of the Nintendo 64’s launch titles, and was also the first game I purchased for the system. Great times were had with my siblings playing this game, and now I own it on the Nintendo Wii via Virtual Console. Even though you were only able to choose from four racers, you were able to customize their handling, name and color of their wet suit. It will always stand as one of the greatest games on the Nintendo 64.
